We are the Villa Park Triathlon Club. Determined to make it worth your while, we invite you to join our team in our attempts to build friendships, positively influence others, and ultimately, to compete to the best of our capabilities. Some of you may ask, "What is a Triathlon?"
Triathlons consist of three consecutive events testing an athlete's ability to run, bike, and swim. Participants are required to complete a run, anywhere from 3 to 6 miles, a bike race stretching from 9 to 30 miles, and a swim testing the competitor's strength for a whole 250 to 1600 meters. These triathlons are challenging, yet exciting and intriguing. Competition is opened to both boys and girls, and as experienced triathletes we encourage you to come out and give it a shot! Don't worry if you have minimal experience or trouble running! After all, we are here to help you do the best you possibly can!
Today, most people think of triathlons as grueling challenges, exhausting and demanding; we assure you, however, they are instead invigorating, exciting, and life changing opprotunities! Join the club and take the first step towards a healthy lifestyle. We can't wait to see you out on the course!
